If you've always wanted to learn how to sew, but are unsure of where to start, this class is the perfect introduction to working with a sewing machine. We’ll cover tools, terminology, setting up your machine and then dive into some sewing. You’ll be learning on Atelier’s sewing machines (Singer Heavy Duty) and all other supplies/materials will be provided.

If you have fabric at home you have questions about or want to work with, feel free to bring.

This class has a maximum sign-up of five (5) participants. At this time, due the amount of pre-planning, nature of a workshop environments and with respect to our instructor, we can not issue refunds on workshop registrations. In the event of an emergency, please notify us you will not be attending at least 48 hours prior to receive a credit towards another workshop. Workshop credits are not good for any in-store purchases.

Coming from a family of craftspeople, Sarah Lillegard is a maker whose fiber and textile work connects aesthetics and functionality. As a teacher, she strives to create an atmosphere where people feel empowered, supported and encouraged to connect their bodies to the craft process. In addition to teaching workshops, Sarah sells her goods under Thrive and Thicken and is a local small flock shearer.
