12-4pm
Join us for a creative quilting workshop where you’ll make your own casserole dish-sized hot pad from start to finish. This beginner-friendly class will guide you through sewing strips of fabric together to create the quilted front. You’ll then learn how to use the backing fabric as the binding, giving your project a polished finish. Just in time for cozy fall meals, you’ll leave with a beautiful and functional hot pad that adds handmade charm to your table. This class is a welcoming introduction to quilting techniques and a fun way to make something both practical and meaningful.

about katrina
Katrina Goodin is a graphic designer and lifelong sewist. Her love for stitching began at a young age when she helped her mom make Halloween costumes and tiny outfits for her stuffed animals. As her passion for sewing grew, she began creating blankets and quilts to commemorate life’s special moments for family and friends. As a military spouse, Katrina has lived in many places, but during her time in Florida, she discovered a deep love for thrifting—especially vintage quilts and fabrics. This passion led to the creation of Vestige Made, where she transforms well-loved textiles into unique bags and accessories, giving them a second life. Katrina always has at least one sewing project in progress and finds joy in sharing her knowledge and appreciation for the artistry of quilting with others.
