The workshop you’ve been waiting for is finally here! Learn to paint on wood in the style of Ron Rash with, Ron Rash! During this three hour workshop participants will paint with acrylic on wood blocks. Instruction will include prepping wood surfaces, brush selection, layering techniques, and tips on outlining illustrations with a brush. Students will learn how to sketch images on wood before applying paint. Each participant will have an opportunity to make two paintings on poplar wood blocks. Let's get together and paint have fun and enjoy the process.

At this time, due the amount of pre-planning, nature of a workshop environments and with respect to our instructor, we can not issue refunds on workshop registrations. In the event of an emergency, please notify us you will not be attending at least 48 hours prior to receive a credit towards another workshop. about ron rash

Ron Rash is a local artist who has been practicing art for over 3 decades. His work has been published in magazines, books, as skateboard graphics and has been exhibited internationally. Although Ron is well known for his work as a tattoo artist, he has always had a deep passion for painting in a variety of mediums such as acrylic and watercolor. His philosophy is that painting provides an almost meditative space, especially in our fast paced technologically driven culture. Rons work is inspired greatly by the outdoors which he loves to explore with his son, Mikey, and trail dog, Dusty.
