In this workshop, you will learn how to make yarn from wool fiber using a spindle.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make your own yarn or tried before but were frustrated, this workshop is for you! We will learn just that with a humble spindle. The workshop focuses on fiber handling and spindle manipulation, and a student spindle and fiber are provided to get you started. The topics covered in this 2-hour workshop are drafting fiber, measuring twist, storing spun yarn, and making a skein with it. We will also discuss finishing yarn. This is a beginner-friendly, fun, and relaxing practice group.
