In this workshop with local natural dyer Lana Mahalah Hall guides students in the process of fresh flower pounding. Each student will receive a pre-mordanted 100% cotton bandana and learn how to achieve clear, crisp prints of flowers and leaves. Appropriate for ages 18+. All materials are provided.

Lana is passionate about purpose driven crafts that integrate connection with the natural world and personal development through dedicated practices. She has over 15 years of experience with natural dying with punctuated periods of focused commitment to multiple plants including indigo, madder, and rabbit brush. She is passionate about empowering people to connect with their world through envisioning purposeful utilization across the grow to dye cycle of natural dying. She has found a love for knitting over the past 5 years and continues to explore her vision of garment creation across all stages of development.
