about Caitlin
Caitlin is an artist and educator with a passion for where art meets ecology. She moved to Carson City from Iowa in 2021. After the dust settled, she was eager to get back to art making, and find a new sense of place. Root N’ Wing Studio became an outlet for Caitlin to learn about local ecology, create unique everyday items with her original artwork, and meet lots of great people in the process. She prints mostly on cloth items, such as shirts, bandanas, scarves, and accessories, and sews many of her works as well. These pieces are for sale via local markets, pop-ups, a couple local stores, and Caitlin’s often neglected website, www.rootnwingstudio.com. When she is not making art, Caitlin loves trail running with her dog, snowboarding, gardening, and rock climbing with her family.
