$95.00

4-7:30pm

Get into the holiday spirit with this beginner-friendly quilting workshop! In this class, participants will create a festive quilted Christmas ornament while learning essential quilting skills on a small scale. We will start with sewing half-square triangles (HSTs) to form a modern mini design, then move on to simple machine quilting to add texture and character. The project will be finished with binding and a ribbon loop so your ornament is ready to hang on the tree or share as a handmade gift. This workshop is a fun way to explore quilting while making something special for the season.

Ages 15 and older. No prior quilting experience is needed, but participants should have basic sewing machine skills, such as threading the machine and sewing a straight line.

about katrina

Katrina Goodin is a graphic designer and lifelong sewist. Her love for stitching began at a young age when she helped her mom make Halloween costumes and tiny outfits for her stuffed animals. As her passion for sewing grew, she began creating blankets and quilts to commemorate life’s special moments for family and friends. As a military spouse, Katrina has lived in many places, but during her time in Florida, she discovered a deep love for thrifting—especially vintage quilts and fabrics. This passion led to the creation of Vestige Made, where she transforms well-loved textiles into unique bags and accessories, giving them a second life. Katrina always has at least one sewing project in progress and finds joy in sharing her knowledge and appreciation for the artistry of quilting with others.
