[may 23+may30] color mixing fundamentals
may 23+may30
12-3pm
This series of workshops guides you through the fundamentals of paint mixing as you create your own hand-painted color charts. These charts will serve as an invaluable reference tool, helping you to mix colors with intent and accuracy for all your future painting projects. As we create our charts, we will be training our eyes to recognize the nuances of value, hue, temperature and intensity of color. We will learn about various color schemes and why they are effective and touch upon the fascinating optical science of simultaneous contrast and the after-image effect to help us choose our colors. Ages 13+. Students can bring their own supplies or purchase a take-home kit (a $95 value). Please take note of the supply list as it is specific to this color mixing workshop.
