Dive into the sweet and spicy world of homemade wellness tonics with our DIY Fire Cider Class!
Fire cider is a traditional folk herbal remedy for your wellness! It's sweet, spicy, and sour! Fire Cider is what we like to call an Oxymel in herbalism a potent blend of herbs, apple cider vinegar and honey.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the art and science behind crafting your very own fire cider. Join local herbalist and herb grower Brooke Walshaw of Terroir Herbals to learn about the versatility of Fire Cider and Oxymels; from selecting the perfect blend of fiery ingredients like ginger, garlic, and hot peppers, to the soothing additions of honey and cider vinegar.
You leave with your own jar of fire cider, but you’ll also gain the knowledge to customize your very own oxymels & their various uses. Whether you’re a seasoned herbal enthusiast or a curious newcomer who wants to know what the hype is all about, this class is for you!

Brooke Walshaw is the owner and founder of Terroir Herbals. Brooke grew up communing with nature developing a deep love of the desert and a passion for plants and cultivation at a young age. In 2018 Terroir Herbals was founded and now offers a diverse array of products from personal wellness to the kitchen. Terroir is the concept of identity, place, and origin, specially in relation to climate, terrain, and soil. Products aim to be a reflection of the terroir of the High Sierra Mountains of Nevada. Nevada's terroir is rugged but our remedies are the stronger for it. Brooke strives to produce thoughtful products made in small batches sourced locally in Reno, NV from sustainable local farms or ethical wildcrafting.
