[march 21] intermediate silversmithing: ring or pendant

In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to create a ring, pendant, or pair of gemstone earrings. You will learn how to make your own bezel - shaping, soldering and setting. We will also go over finishing techniques, including grinding and polishing. Attendance at any prior silversmithing class is highly encouraged, but all levels including beginners are welcome.
please note The workshop cost includes the majority of sterling silver materials for a basic ring, pendant, or hoops, and one gemstone of your choice. Those making earrings will have a small additional materials cost to cover the extra gemstone and silver required for a pair ($10). Due to the volatility of silver prices, if your metal weighs over 0.25 ounces, there MAY be an additional materials fee of $10 to $20 depending on recent silver prices. Sterling silver chains will also be available for purchase at their wholesale cost.
please note This class has a minimum sign-up of six (6) participants. At this time, due the amount of pre-planning, nature of a workshop environments and with respect to our instructor, we can not issue refunds on workshop registrations. In the event of an emergency, please notify us you will not be attending at least 48 hours prior to receive a credit towards another workshop. Workshop credits are not good for any in-store purchases.

Aurora lives in Reno, Nevada and has been making jewelry out of blades of grass and collecting smooth rocks since before she could hold a pair of pliers. She loves the meditative nature of seed bead jewelry, and loves to incorporate different techniques and stitches into her work. She is inspired and recognizes the influence of ancestral beadworker and makers from around the world, including her grandmother.
