[dec 15] ceramic holiday ornaments
6-8pm
An exploration of clay and design using the sgraffito decoration technique (the Italian word "sgraffiare," meaning "to scratch"). Using pre-made slabs, each student will decorate 10-15 ceramic ornaments by scraping through the top layer of white slip as it reveals the pattern/design of their contrasting-colored clay. Ornaments will be fired and finished outside of this class and ready for pick up within 7-10 days. All levels welcome! Appropriate for ages 16+ or accompanied by a registered adult.
please note
This class has a maximum sign-up of fourteen (14) participants. At this time, due the amount of pre-planning, nature of a workshop environments and with respect to our instructor, we can not issue refunds on workshop registrations. In the event of an emergency, please notify us you will not be attending at least 48 hours prior to receive a credit towards another workshop.
