You’ll most likely find Kelly teaching a workshop at Atelier in Reno.
She opened the Reno location in September of 2020 after working as the workshop manager for Atelier Truckee for five years.
When she’s not painting or, teaching painting, she enjoys spending time with her new baby, family and two cats. They all spend a lot of time in nature, hiking, biking and soaking up vitamin D.
Kelly received a Bachelor's degree in Journalism with an emphasis in advertising from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2007 and a Master's of Fine Art with an emphasis in Interdisciplinary Art from Sierra Nevada College (now, UNR Lake Tahoe) in Incline Village, Nevada in August 2017.
She loves watching students light up and find their process in every workshop.
Sara almost always has a pair of knitting needles in her hands.
She joined Atelier in Reno in 2023. After a few years of wearing many hats around the studio, she stepped into the role of Workshop Manager in 2025. When Sara's not working, she spends her time knitting, gardening, spending time with her dog, Jingle Bell, and traveling.
Sara's favorite thing about Atelier in Reno? Watching people reconnect with their innate creativity during our many hands-on workshops!
